Mark Messier is a retired National Hockey League player who played 25 years as a forward for the NHL's New York Rangers and the Edmonton Oilers, winning six Stanley Cups. Mark is a two-time winner of the Lester Patrick Cup as a member of the U.S. team at the annual all-star game and also scored 545 goals in 1,279 NHL games. Messier was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997 and was named one of Canada's Top 50 Sports Heroes of All Time by Canadian athletes magazine "The Hockey News"
His autobiography, "Messier: My Story" was published in October 2005.
